On 18 November 1920, Russia and the emerging Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) enacted a Decree on Abortion permitting the “artificial discontinuation of pregnancy” – the deliberate killing of an unborn baby – “in Soviet hospitals.” This act by the first Marxist, Socialist, Communist, Atheist government opened the door for government authorized abortion that gradually expanded to 156 nations today, with limited or on-demand abortion.
