Call to Restore the Foundational Principles of the Republican Party

The National Republican Party, which was officially formed in 1856 based on three foundational principles: (1) Opposition to slavery and its expansion, (2) support and preservation of the United States Constitution, and (3) preservation of the nation.  Any citizen who agreed with these principles was welcome in the new party.  As the 2024 National Republican Convention begins today, may the delegates demand restoration of the core principles (quoted from the 1856 Platform) of the Republican Party – including the sanctity of human life and opposition to abortion at every stage of pregnancy – to the National Republican Platform.
