The Archbishop of San Francisco, Rev. Salvatore Cordileone, courageously stood up for Truth, righteousness, justice and the sanctity of human life from conception—just as Rev. Luis Gerardo Cabrera Herrera, Archbishop of Ecuador, did two months ago.  Over the past 10 years, Archbishop Cordileone has met with Nancy Pelosi personally about her support and advocacy of abortion, which he rightly identifies as “a manifestly grave sin.”  Since last year, after Pelosi “vowed to codify the Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade decision in federal law,” she has refused to meet with him.  Therefore, on 19 May 2022, Archbishop Cordileone sent her the Notification letter quoted in its entirety, announcing his decision to forbid her from receiving Holy Communion based on the Doctrine of the Church.  This is precisely what Pope Francis, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, and the bishops of Rome, Washington, DC, Delaware, and every state ought to do in relation to our government leaders and legislators who support or advocate for the murder of unborn and newly born children.
