Ecuador Government Approved Abortion for Rape

Church and civil government leaders and the people in generations past consecrated Ecuador to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.  But all three branches of the current government, including President Guillermo Lasso who affirmed that consecration, acted contrary to that consecration in authorizing abortion up to 12 weeks pregnancy in cases where the girl or woman was raped.  To accept abortion requires first accepting the presupposition that it is acceptable to take the innocent life of a human being.  Once that is accepted, then the debate reduces to who, what circumstances, and what limits.  A woman who has been raped greatly needs compassion, protection, and justice; but murdering her unborn child is not compassion for her or the child, and deepens the grave offense against her, instead of restoring her soul and body.
